Leslie Dittos’s “The Sleepy Beast”

This is going to be a short post, since “images speak for themselves”. Just wanted to share with you guys Leslie Ditto’s painting she made for our show, “Monster’s Lullaby”, opening doors on July 19th!

It reminds me of so many amicable monsters, like the cast of “Where the Wild Things Are”, “The Gruffalo” and Sully from “Monster’s Inc.” Yet, Leslie has an unmatchable talent to make all her paintings be immediately linked to her; she has that type of artistic signature. Leslie Ditto has a style, a “Ditto aesthetic”.

What do you think!?

Art Basel Day 1

It was long and a roller coaster ride up and down and all around 5 fairs in one day to start with and have the openings happening – I made it though and my head is still spinning – it’s all there the Good, the Bad,the Ugly and thankfully also the truly stunning !

I finally had a chance to meet with Andrew and Dawn from Thinkspace Gallery and make great plans!

I am excited to see more and meet with more friends and new contacts to get them excited about my new position and my first nice project for the “institution” :) windows!!!!

Enjoy and soon more !!

Italian TV at Strychnin Gallery!

Soon, a reportage about italian artists in Berlin will air on TV! The word got around that Strychnin not only works with many italian artists, but constantly collaborates with italian curators, galleries and museums.
So, we were asked if the reportage could be filmed at the gallery.

Freelance journalist and author, Vita Lo Russo was accompanied by a team and reportage presenter, Marco Varvello (Rai1). For those italian speakers out there, the reportage will air on italian television (TV7) on the 14th of this month at 23:00 on rai1. We’ll keep you posted!

Woodenleg supporter Yasha Young attended the opening of Natascha Stellmach's I don’t have a gun at Galerie Wagner + Partner in Berlin yesterday. She sent me some pics, the show looks amazing so don't miss it. And read the final words of Natascha's poem and tell me if you feel like that too .

“Let me get under your skin!

It’s a good thing we can show what we want on the blog and truly show all the work that we like and are not (yet) censored –

Last nights opening was amazing and Australians artist Miss Natasha Stellmach’s art brilliant.

The idea was a cleansing via her poetry and her work by talking and finding something to get rid off – she would proceed to scratch the word in your skin while chatting with you about experiences in a unique and sterile booth almost like a confession booth build inside the space which was filled with her new mural work and poetry – an intimate exhibition of letting go made public and yet the viewers can only watch through a gallery window not part of the conversation nor the word that had evolved.

Love her mind.
Enjoy!
