The Mad Potters Tea Party

As you may know, February in Berlin is a pretty grim month, holidays are over, it’s dark, it’s cold, the snow is brown and not white…the list goes on. Soooooo, we have planned a show that is going to be an escape from all of this!
Strychnin Gallery is collaborating with the innovators of English ceramics The New English to bring you ‘The Mad Potters Party’. The show will include over 100 international artist including names such as Ray Caesar, Chris Mars, Krk Ryden.
The artists involved are working away on creating artworks and designs that will be applied to The New English bone china ceramics. There will be custom-made ceramics ranging from teacup and saucer sets, cake plates, dinner plates, even vases and caskets. All the pieces will be of a very limited edition of only 10 and certified by the The New English with a special certificate of authenticity.
As this is an Alice in Wonderland inspired show it would be sacrilege not to have some of the classic characters join us. So we have the UK special effects team ‘Skeleton heart’ and Cliff Wallace from Creature Effects creating us our very own sculptured Mad Potter and Rabbit which will be sitting around a giant dinning table in the middle of the gallery space surrounded by custom ceramics, cupcakes and the general chaos of a mad potters tea party.
The show will kick off at 7pm on friday February 4th. So come in from the cold and take a journey through the rabbit hole with us! See you there 😉
